merry halloweeeeen!

wow. i am a complete slacker. funny that when i dont blog people ask why. ask when im going to. and tell me to hurry and blog already. haha makes me happy tho cus i love to blog and i love that people actually read my blog :)

i have a TON to catch up on. i feel like its been weeks since the last time i even looked at my blog. so yeah. i went home last weekend. the 20th of october. occasion was that tanners big brother came home from his mission. i was so so so excited for the family because two years is a really long time to not see your family. the whole process at the airport ive been to twice before but this time was way different. seeing julie being reunited with tate was awesome. meeting him was semi awkward tho. hahaha tanner was still in utah and i went to the airport with his family. but after hearing so much about him i didnt feel like we really had to "meet". tate served in the Philippines

the weekend in vegas was really good. going home is such a tease tho. i miss my family often. seeing them once a month tho is great. im so blessed im not tooo far away from vegas. id die.

right when i got home from vegas i started to get really sick. my whole family was sick with something in vegas and their germs decided to infect my life. ive been home for almost 2 weeks and i am justttt feeling a lil better. being sick away from family is the WORST. i feel so helpless. hadley is an amazing friend tho & brought me nyquil and popsicles when she found out i was sick. shes a sweetheart :) kailee also bought me mashed potatoes from kfc. if you dont know me all that well- when im sick that is what makes me better. other people eat chicken noodle soup and sprite or whatever- but all i want when im sick is kfc. it works. dont care what anyone says ;)

this past weekend was hectic. on friday morning i got a call from tessa and she seemed really upset asking me if i could come over to her house. she told me that someone had broken into her house, stole tylers car & their macbook. i rushed over and met her at her house. the cops were already there when i pulled up and they began the reports and everything. during the day i helped tessa since they only had one car- we went and got emree a new carseat since the old one was in tylers car. bought a new laptop at byu- where emree pooped on me. thanks again em :) that night tyler got a call from the coppers that his car had been found. tanner and i babysat emree while tessa & tyler went and met the cops to get the car. luckily the laptop that had been stolen was also in the car. after an exhausting day for them it ended with blessings. i am so so happy that everything ended up working out for the mcallisters. they are family & im glad i could help them out!

on saturday tanner had a scrimmage against slcc. he played really well. hes a beast- not to brag or anything ;) that night tanner kailee & i hung out and got krispie kremes. kailee and i also carved pumpkins and made pumpkin seeds.

halloween is one of my favorite holidays. i love the whole month of october and halloween is a great way to end the month. i am soooo excited for november tho. tanners & i will celebrate our 1 year together<3 and thanksgiving, homemade pie, black friday shopping, and seeing lots &lots of friends that are outta state for college.

Hi everyone!  Just wanted to let you in on something cool that my uncle and I have been working on.  To help pay for my tuition and college expenses, my uncle and I developed a cool Internet site called QWERTYme.com (like they keyboard buttons Q-W-E-R-T-Y).  

Basically, the site offers text message reminders to help people keep track of their busy lives.  I use it in college to remind me of important test dates and when different homework is due.  The QWERTYme system is pretty slick...it’s like an alarm clock but uses text messages as reminders for events, todo lists, birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, and everything else.  To schedule a reminder, I can go online or just send the reminder directly from my cell phone.

everything happens for a reason...

have you ever sat and thought about why certain things happen? lately ive thought about my life and how much it has changed. thinking back to a year ago today and remembering my life then and seeing my life now makes me realize how extremely blessed i truly am. a lot of the time things will happen in my life and i wont see the positive in it. ill be down and upset about how i just wish so bad that things could have turned out differently. there are truly no coincidences in this life. everything truly happens for a reason- even if you dont know that reason at that time.

a year ago today i was single. for the majority of my teenage years i had a boyfriend. for once i was single and trying to redirect my life. its funny how the same people are always there for me at times when i really need them. a year ago today- tanner, kaycee, bryce, and brittany gave me some of the best advice. i didnt realize it then- but i do now. tanner told me to find someone who would love me for me & not take me for granted. funny that hes the one that ended up being mr.right for me. kaycee told me to be "selfish" for once. do things for me and figure out what i wanted. bryce told me to just have fun. live up my senior year and make new friends. brittany told me to indulge myself in the gospel. read conference talks, ask for a priesthood blessing and pray more often. i thank these four people for helping me realize what i needed in my life.

a year ago today my sis madilynne and i were closer than ever. she was there for me when i needed her. my shoulder to cry on and was there for whatever i asked for. i am so so so grateful for such good siblings. my brothers and marley were not as close a year ago. now they are all truly my best friends. my family is forever. when i feel like my friends are not available- they always are.

a year ago today hadley and i sat in her car and cried. pour our hearts out and talked about everything. her and suzie mean so much to me because of what they did for me a year ago. words cannot describe how eternally grateful i am for them and their example in my life.

today i am happier than ever. the decisions i made a year ago were for the best and i realize that. today my apartment started our scripture reading. were gonna read the book of mormon before we move out. today i am a better person because of the choices i made before.

its friiiiday friday! gotta get down on friday!

& i confess:
-i got a job!! babysitting twin boys twice a week! im so so so excited. they are adorable & the family is awesome. 
-im jealous of everyone having babies & getting married. i wish someone in my immediate family would have a baby. 
-i go home next week & i found out that my auntie renee is also going to be in vegas. i am soo excited! shes the greatest!
-i am excited beyond words to meet tate. everything ive heard of him is amazing & i cant wait!
-i am so happy that the weather warmed up. the sun is goooood!
-im in a baking mood. i want to make everything! cookies, cupcakes, cakes, pies. lets do it then.

another year older.

sooo, my birthday was yesterday. WOOHOO. 

it was a very good weekend and good birthday. on friday tanner came over & we waited for brittany to get into town with her hubby. she dyed my hair dark reddish & i love it! she also did kayla varners hair & it turned out super cute. i wish i woulda gotten a picture with britt & kayla- but next time. okay so the whole time brittany was doing my hair tanner was being a nag about going to the palace. i wasnt even in the mood to go cus it was already getting late & i had company. eventually we left for the palace to "watch a movie" SURPRISE. no movie- but a party. ha

So yeah- if you dont know me i hate surprises. all types- and i hate that awkward feeling once a surprise happens. ha so tanner walked up the stairs before me & as i walked into the house i heard screaming, whistles, and got lots of hugs. thanks to nin & tanner for planning it :) 

The next day tanner & i went to the byu soccer game and the byu football game. which btw utah is getting way way way too cold for my liking. im tempted to move to africa because i hate the cold. but yeah after the game tanner gave me my birthday present which i love!

its an infinity ring & it means a lot to me. hes the bessssst. the next day i went to church & stayed home. that night i got my present from my family in vegas :)

it included a really cute jacket from old navy, two beanies, 3 pairs of gloves, a headband, candy, mascara, nail polish, ear muffs, socks & a book from my mommy. i got 3 letters in the gift from my lil cousins & sister. thanks again family! so sunday night around 11 tanner told me that he was gonna come surprise me at midnight but his ride fell asleep. i was really hoping that he was lying & he was! haha suzie emily & him came & surprised me at 12 with a double double from in n out. great start to my birthday :)

my birthday weekend was great.  on my actual birthday tanner took me to california pizza kitchen & even got me a sundae :) it was the first birthday without my family which was different but the video they made me was perfect :) thanks for everyone that wished me a happy birthday -- it was great.

its like, what are you thankful for?

-an amazing boyfriend- tanner chauncey is literally everything i ever wanted. he is my best friend & the love of my life. we've dated for almost a year now & i still get butterflies. sounds lame, but hes the best thing in my life.

-my big sister Brittany Peterson- she is truly INCREDIBLE. im totally blessed to have her in my life. she offered me an amazing opportunity & im really stoked about it. love you so much sis!

-gloves- i bought some the other day & good thing cus the weather here is about to FREEZE my hands off :(

-gas in my car- i mean who isnt thankul for that?

-pasta & pizza- since i hardly eat any type of meat- these are my favorite foods. :) these are the way to my heart

-missionaries- tate (tanners kuya) comes home in 2 weeks. i am truly so thankful for missionaries. i have always had such an appreciation for them. the work they do is absolutely incredible & they are awesome. i am so thankful for his example to tanner. i am so so excited to meet tate & for him to be reunited with his family. im thankful for the church of jesus christ of LDS & the missionaries that serve the lord.

Experience of a Lifetime..

Hello out there :)

I am in an extremely good mood right now so blogging seems to be a good idea :)
Well this weekend was awesome. On friday night Tanners parents & Trey got into Provo. I picked him up & we went to visit. We were supposed to go see the movie MoneyBall but we didnt get the chance to make it to the movie on time so we ended up not going. On saturday morning I woke up and got tanner again & we went to Tessas & I watched the Saturday morning session of conference. Can I just say how much I LOVE conference. I loved Boyd K Packers talk. Amazing.

Later that day Julie took us (Nin, Tessa, Em & I) to Zupas :) which btw is delicious. New favorite place. After that Nin Tanner & I made our way out to Alpine to go to their Gmas house. She is such an awesome lady! She makes me feel so welcome, just like any other gma house. We hung out there that night & a lot of Tanners extended family also came. It was a fun night :)

On Sunday morning I woke up SOO early. Tanners amazing Daddy got tickets for the morning session of General Conference and we had to leave at 7 am. I was soo excited. Being in the same room as the prophet of the church is an amazing feeling. When we got to SLC I was reminded at how much I love it there. I love Orem/Provo- but SLC is just so much more city & its my kinda place. Anyway- it was Tanner, his daddy, Kailee, Hadley & her roommate Jenny that came. I never realized how gigantic the conference center is. We got to our seats & I immediately was completely filled with the spirit. It was truly amazing. When the prophet walked in, it was like no other feeling. I loved being able to experience that. Thomas S. Monson is adorable. The cutest old man & so inspirational. But yeah- I am soo happy that I got to go to the session. Thanks again to the Chaunceys :) love you guys!

After conference, later that night I made Tanner dinner & it was a good end to an amazing Sunday. Now I am a mere 6 days away from turning 19!!!! :O its kind of gross. That is half way to 38. Anyway-- til next time :)
